i brought 4 pairs of scrubs with me. only opened the packaging for 2 of them so far.

-what kind of designs/writing are on the scubs? i've seen a couple of students wearing scrubs with little cute animals on them. nothing inappropriate, and you should be fine.

For DPS, all we ever used was:

Stethescope
BP Cuff
Reflex Hammer
Tuning Fork

I don't remember using anything else. My apologies if I forgot something. And to answer your question, YES. Definitely buy the items in the states.

Hey quick questions....

What are said prices for the following:
Stethescope
BP Cuff
Reflex Hammer
Tuning Fork

It's all new to me, so I'd like to do some comparison shopping ahead of time; also, are there any particular brands that someone should now about?

Thanks!

speaking of stethoscope, should be invest in an expensive one 200+ or can we get away with a low cost standard one?

If you're going to invest in a good stethoscope right now, go for a Littmann, end of story. Go for a Master Classic or a Classic II SE. If you really want to spend $$ or think you may go into cardiology, then go fo the Cardiology III. All of these stethoscopes are under $150 US. If you get a cheap one for now, just keep in mind by the time you reach 4th/5th you're going to need to purchase a better anyway. There IS a difference is quality. Also, my favorite part of my Littmann is that if any part should break, you just send it back to the company and they fix it for free!
