It will be free for them (or how much ever they pay for a local call) - that's the whole point of Skype.

If you have a question, post it at the AUA forum. I can't respond to PMs due to Step 2 coming up very soon.

you're purchasing a US #, thus regardless of where you are anywhere in the world, it is treated as a US call.

I noticed in the acceptance package I received there was a list of computer requirements and the required laptop manufacturers were Sony, Dell or Compaq, I have a Macbook and I was just wondering whether or not I'll be able to use it .

Hey guys I just found an awesome deal with vonage. Now all you have to do is make sure it works at the place you are living in.

CC is offering $300 GC instantly for signup Vonage at store for 12 month, and equipment also has $175 rebate.

so the math is following:

phone adapter $40 (VPHONE or $50 PA2) + activation 29.99 + (24.99 + $5(tax)) *11 month - 175-300 = -75, so you get unlimitted calls for 12 month and earn $75.

This is free vonage for 1 year. If you know you are going to live in traglfar then get this.

I downloaded skype, bought the philips plug in phone. I bought Skype in for 12 months which adds up to 60 dollars( much cheaper than any cell phone or calling card). I got a local number from where I live so my parents can call me from their cell phone any time and it will be free. Also, my friends from out of state can call me for free from their cell phone(only their minutes will be depleted) and they can call me at night from their cell phones for as long as they want for free if they have unlimited nights and weekends.

Yes, you can transfer your numbers from your cell phone to your skype contact list manually, i'm not sure if you can do it any other way but i'm sure their is some program that you can use.

So just to clarify about Windows Vista, I shouldn't have any compatibility issues or problems when I use Vista down on the island? What I am trying to ask is whether the university has upgraded their programs and XP files to Vista so that they are compatible with the newer computers people may be bringing that have Windows Vista on them. I'm just asking because I had to buy a new computer this summer, but no computer manufacturers will sell computers with XP anymore. Haha..and now I'm not sure if I should install XP on my computer or not. What would you recommend? Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks!

i have yet to find any software or anything that the school or professors use that is not compatible with vista. you have nothing to worry about.
