How does AUA rank among other Caribbean medical schools?

    Advertisements

Compared to other schools like Ross, Xavier, SABA, CMU?

Please help my friend decide; it will be extremely helpful to give point to th ebest of your knowledge, on each of the 4 school being compared to AUA, thank you.
And also ranking on a scale of 1 to 10.

    AUA =
    Ross =
    Xavier =
    SABA =
    CMU =

Ross and Saba are California and NY State approved, which allows their graduates to practice in all 50 states. AUA is NY State approved only.

I would not even consider Xavier or CMU, since there are plenty of NY-state approved schools that will take just about anyone.

Given the above, fair to say that Ross and SABA may not compare to AUA, Xavier and CMU. How do I rate the last 3 schools against each other.
    AUA =
    Xavier =
    CMU =

no...i think you need to read around this site some more and gain a feel for the process of becoming a physician, obtaining a residency and what is then required to be licensed.

On the contrary, I was attempting to clarify what I know already and what he seemed to imply!

Clarity in information is just basic.

NY accreditation as students are allowed to be licensed there as well as the other 40 something states that follow New York's accreditation list. Considering that AUA has graduates in residency and the experience that administration has, I believe that puts it far far far above CMU. As for Xavier, I don't know much about that school or it's accreditation. I did see however from the sallie mae website, that Xavier does qualify for stafford loans. Anyway, you or better yet your friend should do your research and see which one seems to be the best fit.

I think you searched for Xavier University located in Nova Scotia, Canada not the one in Aruba.

On the list at salliemae.com under stafford loans for medical schools outside the u.s., it gives Xavier University School of Medicine both in the Netherland Antilles and Aruba.
