yeah, that's what I figured...short coat it is I guess. MDXRS22's picture showed students wearing the longer ones, but who knows...

We had short and long coats, and it was a matter of where we were assigned that day.

For texans, I believe going to AUA is comparable to any other caribbean school besides ross ( which has automatic texas approval). Texas medical board will do a case by case process and I see no reason an Aua graduate who passed the boards, have done all rotations and or even might have done a residency in Texas can be denied license there as the curriculum is comparable to US med schools.

one thing to note in SMU's case, any school that is disaproved in one state, Cali for their sake, is therefore disaproved in Texas. thus, when AUA does apply for licensure in Cali and are disaproved, grads will not be able to license in Texas until they are approved. there are a few other states that are like this, i don't remember them off-hand. just something to be taken into consideration. as for now though, AUA is case-by-case but we'll never know how easy it will be until someone tries.

I heard SMU grads practicing in TX and bunch in residency there.. so it still remains the case by case even with the cali disapproval...\

actually just saw this

but i'm sure some of the grad and smu itself is giving the cali rule as unfounded.

they approve automatically SGU and AUC still appears under montserrat here

no i'm sorry that is wrong...scroll down the page till you get to SMU:

THECB > Academic Affairs and Research > Private Colleges and Institutes > Fraudulent Institutions

then when you're finished with that, you can read this:

under Medical Education, check (B)

Physician Licensure Eligibility

given what you say and what i read on that, i don't think it's case-by-case when it comes down to disaproved or "Illegal" schools as Texas puts it

So, why shouldn't you go to AUA if you want to practice in Texas?
