Dr. D in class today mentioned that he has been appealing to the administration for a while to stop offering immunology block because he said it is not possible to teach all of immunology in 6 days. He mentioned in class that for any students that fail immunology during this semester he will be having a second opportunity for students to retake immunology from march 1st to march 30th, lectures being from 5-7 m, w, and fri. i don't know if this means that there will be no more immunology block, so we will have to just wait and see. he also mentioned that he wasn't happy with students exploiting the immunology block by being allowed to take it after premed 4 and med 1.

i didn't agree with any student who wasn't going into 3rd semester to take the immunology block course. for one thing, the level of depth in questions that receive after 1st semester aren't comparable to previous. thus, it's a huge step and you're just not ready for that. also a lot of students who were 1st semesters last semester took immuno and then took the genetics block. those students that i knew who did so burned themselves out to the point where they had to drop genetics block or ended up failing genetics block.

i definitely agree with students who are going into med 3 being allowed to take immunology block but it seems as though Dr. D is not happy with the way the immuno block course is conducted over 6 days. He told us that that isn't enough time to cover all the material that needs to be covered in immunology. I guess we'll have to see where this matter goes

It says in the welcome packet that to be allowed in antigua you will need a roundtrip ticket... I only booked a a one way ticket there for may. I was plan on booking a roundtrip after the may semester was over, so do you guys think this is a problem?

Worse case scenario, they ask you if you have a round trip, you say no and they force you to purchase a return ticket before they let you into Antigua.

Because you will get tired of being here and want to go home. Believe me, I booked a one way ticket (because it was cheaper and I didn't have the money at the time for round trip). But best believe, I was soo glad to ook that ticket to go home. I'll only be gone from April 25 to May 3, but that's just enough time

I also booked a return ticket after semester 2 for December 19th. Go home and restock supplies, visit family, visit friends, and take for granted what America has to offer
