Hey Guys, when you pack, make sure you take things out of the package/box, don't give them a reason to think your stuff is store-bought and new so they don't charge you much tax. For example, if you're bringing granola bars, take it out of the box and put it in a cheap plastic bag, any electronics, of course, should also be out of the box. You get the picture. Also, try not to mention you went shopping, say most of this stuff was already in your house.

I had a bunch of pringles, cereal bars, and soap, shampoo, and when they asked me how much I payed, I said, 40, but the guy didn't believe me because they don't believe in 99Cent stores (who could blame them when seeing how expensive things are on this island), so he ended up taxing me 25US dollars anyway. They are pretty weird in the airport, but whatever you do, don't get depressed if they take your money, and don't argue over a small amount because theres no way out. Just keep that smile on your face and know you're getting much more when you get that MD.
