Thread: new students for fall 09

hi,
I recently got accepted to AGU for fall of 09...was wondering is there any new student who will be joining this university this coming september? if so please send me msg...

Several students will be joining you for the next semester I should believe, but most new students do not know about valuemd as yet. I certainly didnt know about it until much later , so please share your knowledge with them about valuemd so they may interact with other members, ok sal09.

i will be joining in fall, but i am now afraid that this skool does not exist as all these threads have been sayiing it is a fradulant school!
can a student from the Curacao campus plese verify this with facts and real government numbers i can call????

I visited Curacao 2 weeks ago cause I want to transfer to AGU and they do have a campus in Curacao. Its in a big building next to Clarion hotel. I dont know about the campus in Belize. The administration is very helpful and I can see this school is making a good progress. My friend has transfered to their clinicals and is quite happy so far.
You should remember that there is a huge competition between caribbean medical schools so there is lots of bashing on that forum.

If you are asking about AGU in Curacao, you should be very wary. That campus is not listed in IMED. IMED rules require that a school be charted by the local govt. the school officials will tell you it is fine because AGU in Belize is in IMED, but you will likely have problems later on!! Don't go to AGU in Curacao until after you see it in IMED, not based on some promise that might not happen. going to the AGU campus in belize is OK because it is in IMED, but i don't know anything about that campus.

Looks like Monay24 is another "friend" from St. Martinus bashing the school. The school, not the campus has to be listed in IMED, so your conclusion is absolutely wrong.

I wouldnt touch this school with a flag pole! Students beware!

Caribdocky, I would not recommend st. Martinus, which seems to be having huge problems. Prospective students should still be very skeptical of AGU/CMU.

St. Martinus is about to collapse, I agree. Prospective students should be skeptical of any med school in the Caribbean except the big 3 but the fact is that AGU/CMU has all necessary credentials to operate their campuses, have classes running, students in rotations and graduates in residency. They also have loan program that many students rely on.
