Current Student

I am a 3rd semester student as well as Student Government President at American Global University. I would like to take this opportunity to dispel some of the rumors I have just read on this message board. We currently have 30 students in Belize and 10 professors, all of which have been educated in the US. The cost of living is very reasonable. I pay $1600 a semester to live in the dorms, but there are many students who have found very inexpensive housing off campus. We are provided with breakfast and lunch each day at school for $3 a meal; a typical meal out in Belmopan is $5. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions a prospective student may have. Feel free to email me at cware@agusm.org. I look forward to hearing from you.

Considering that EVERY other caribbean medical school does not have all their faculty with US pedigrees, please explain how AGU has been so fortunate.

I just did a random check of the following schools

SMU
SJSM
CMU
XAVIER
MUA
AUA

Not one of them has faculty with purely US educations.

Roundtree is obviously right.

Why will you not post faculty names?

Well, the figure of 30 students and 10 profs does not make sense to me considering there are 5 semesters of basic science at Belize.

How many students in each semester?
There are 3 subjects in each semester?
Is there a semester with no students?
10 profs, 10 different basic science topics?
Is there a semester with 1 or 2 students and 3 different profs?

I am more curious as to why they will not post the names of the faculty. All the other schools do.

That is true. AGU could at least post them on their on site or answer e-mails.
