Anyone who is well read and loves to research and find information for himself without depending on buzz words like "
they say", will agree that there are already thousands of Medical Doctors in Canada, as I am writing this note, working as cab drivers. It has nothing to do with the fact that they came from high school into med school. Infact, one does NOT have to have a first degree to succeed or study medicine. The British system of education has lots of great doctors MOST of which are straight from high school after A Levels. Second, read my other posting for more details on Canadian phenomenon. In addition, McMaster University is conducting a research right now: A Comparative Examination of the Experiences of Internationally Educated Health Care Providers who Migrate to Canada. It will be interesting to see what the result of this study brings up in terms of policy recommendation/changes after the study is completed...
if at all no politics of make believe come to play as usual. Claiming the so-called "meet the standards" tactics.....while the public is crying for family physicians. Meeting the standards is what the USA does. It uses the
same standardized exams on all those that intend to practice in USA "
The USMLE" The US does not have two standards: 1. for FMG and 2. for US trained MG.
NO! NO! NO! Anything else, is something else.
