In Texas they require you to have 60 college hours form an accredited college to get licensed. It would be best to search and read the state licensing rules for the states you want to practice in. I have listed the rules for Texas below.
§163.2. Full Texas Medical License.
(3) have completed 60 semester hours of college courses as defined under §163.1(11) of this title;

§163.1. Definitions.
(11) Sixty (60) semester hours of college courses--60 semester hours of college courses other than in medical school that are acceptable to The University of Texas at Austin for credit on a bachelor of arts degree or a bachelor of science degree; the entire primary, secondary, and premedical education required in the country of medical school graduation, if the medical school is located outside the United States or Canada; or substantially equivalent courses as determined by the board.
Good Luck hope this helps.

You would have to contact these medical boards directly to get that specific question answered. They may recognize the pre-med classes you took so don't loose hope now. I would also check with your med school and see what other students have done surely your not the first with this issue.

I don’t think that it matters how you get the hours as long as it is accredited. If you have to get the 60 hours I would do correspondence courses from a regular university if possible rather than going to an online university that way your degree/course work will not have a black cloud over it. I speak from experience about the cloud, I have an Associate from an online university and the classes I took would not transfer to any school I checked.

Good luck!
