karplus explained it well. Providencia is expensive and the foos is not good. El centro has typical mexican food and it is not that americanized if you are looking for regional cousine. McDonalds and burger king are sub-standard with big macs in foam containers and fried apple pies ( 15 years old way of cooking at these places). Italian restaurants are a joke with maybe 1 exception. Tacos is the way to go.
