Aruba's drinking water

Just wanted to give some insight about the drinking water in Aruba because I think there is some confusion out there. Aruba has one of the largest saltwater desalinization plants in the world. What does that mean? Well, desalinization is pretty self-explanatory... the process removes salt and other minerals from saltwater to make it viable for human consumption.

Aruba's water ranks as some of the best water in the world for quality and taste because of this process, and in fact they actually bottle it and sell it. So, if you are worried about the drinking water, don't be. Of course there is always some likely hood of water contamination (microbial agents) due to pipe breakage.. but that can happen anywhere. I know some of the other Caribbean islands out there have very poor drinking water but no worry here. Save some money and don't buy bottled water here.
