Talking Im in saba as we speak!!

Hey everyone! I'm accepted for Jan. 2009 and I'm excited! I am actually in Saba right now and I absolutely LOVE it. The campus is really nice and the mountains and ocean are beautiful! Everyone (natives and med students) are all extremely nice. I am from a very small town in Minnesota so the small population of the island doesn't bother me, it actually has a lot more and better restaurants than where Im from! The weather is absolutely gorgeous, and my dad and I met with a real estate person today and looked at some properties and it is reasonably priced for nice spacious places. I am meeting with professors and the housing coordinator on Thursday and spending the entire day at the campus, so i can update after that! Tomorrow my dad and I are going to just talk to the students a little more and see their perspective. I definately know that saba is NOT for everyone...you have to love the outdoors and small town to really enjoy it here. Chinese was good tonite for dinner too if anyone wanted to know haha!

As for me, my name is Maggie and im 20/f/MN (but I currently live/am finishing up my undergrad in Cytotechnology at the University of North Dakota!) Glad to see there are quite a few people close to my age! Everyone that I have met so far looks pretty young actually..so I really couldnt tell you what the avg. age is....

3.78 GPA, 2+ yrs research experience in immunology, 1+yr as a phlebotomist, was going to take MCAT upon request but they didn't need me to so I decided to save my time and money

Hope to get in contact more with everyone if anyone has any specific questions about saba that they would like me to look into, just msg me about it and I will try my best to do it (here til friday)!

P.S. Landing on Saba is probably the most terrifying thing I have ever done..check it out, and TAKE THE FERRY if you have even a slight fear of planes or heights
