I agree with rasputndoc on this...I look at my own class and really question their drive and/or comittment. Slackers: I'm talk'n to YOU! You really should go to class...at least being there may stimulate some neurological pathways

I agree that everyone has a different ability and learning style. Make yours work for you and start studying as of 1st semester. In class, my goal is to actively listen, while simultaneously try to correlate and connect concepts from previous classes. (I think of this like a game; how much can I recall? and y'know it's actually thrilling to look back just in this 1st semester and see how much I've learned!) This is Medical School: you can't learn it and forget it. One day your patient's life may depend on the information you should be learning today.

Surround yourself with others that are "smarter" than you and you'll probably learn to study better. What we consider "smart" is definitely subjective... but you know what I mean, right?
