well, gonza. I have more to lose if I stay than leaving in mid semester. With so many question marks and changes I wouldnt be surprised that failing students will be a common practice. See, if you failed a class, no caribbean and/or US school will take you as a transfer unless you pass the USMLE and after 4th semester which is really 5th in UAG terms ( at least you will have to pay 5th in order to take the USMLE according to 4th semester student s here you go another 11K!). Unless you want to go Poland ( no cali ), no caribbean school will take any transfer credits for basic science. Starting over means I will still finish a year before you guys and with no so many problems. I have known
personally only one person that passed the first time. All the rest, 2 or 3 or more times. I have had friends and family here for the last 6 years. Most people waited until the end of the 4th year to take the USMLE due to feeling incompetent. I respect your opinion and your decision. Just keep studying, passing your classes and doing well. You will need it once USMLE time come by. Good luck.
