If that was the case then no one in the Caribbean would get a residency because they are all offshore schools. So if it is the school that you are going to that matters than that makes no sense. From US medical students and doctors alike what I understand the process to be is that the USMLE is the equalizer meaning that you may even get a better residency than a US student if you scored better on Step I no matter what school you went to (Yale or MUA). I hope this helps. It is hilarious how some offshore students engage in this my carib school is better than yours. No matter what you are still and IMG grad no matter if you went to SGU, SMU, SABA or MUA.
