By law in Mexico all medical students have to do 6 years of medical school in order to get the Titulo. No servicio, No titulo!!! No titulo no acceptance by ECFMG!


It would be nice if the servico social was not mandatory for private schools. But it is part of the law. Well politics too. UAG has to abide by the rules of IMSS, ISSSTE, SSA and goverment.

No you cannot pay to avoid doing the servicio but ou can try and get a place within Guadalajara or at town not more than 30 minutes. Oh! forgot 80% of the spots around or in Guadalajara are reserved for students from UdeG de public school. Not fair uh?
