All CBSSA assessments are equated to the same scoring scale. The initial research that demonstrates that under certain circumstances there is a moderate relationship between performance on CBSSA and subsequent Step 1 was done using the CBSSA Forms 1 and 2. However, since Forms 3 and 4 are equated to the same scoring scale, performance on any of the four assessments may have a moderate relationship to performance on Step 1. The NBME does not warrant that any individual performance on these self-assessments will predict performance on Steps 1 or 2 CK and cautions participants against making any predictive inferences.
