This is why we do not charge a deposit at our places. The only thing we do is to require a hold deposit that is applied to the first month's rent ($400 hold then $400 cash when you arrive). Our rent is $800 per month that comes out to about $27 per night. To find a short term in Miami is not easy. Most people require a lease and we do not. Right now we have 5 medical students at our place at 3325 and still have room for more students. Also, 3325 SW 9th Terrace is zoned duplex so it's perfectly legal. Location is a great factor; you can walk out at 2am and walk to La Carreta Restaurant and feel safe. So always check location, deposits, history, contact now or former renters (fellow students) at the property and see what they think before you rent.
