Since I didn't hear any reply when I emailed GMC last week I decided to give them a call.

I spoke with a guy in the Clinical Rotations Division (CRD) and he seemed relatively knowledgeable about the services they provide. When asked about the status of getting ACGME rotations through them there was no definitive answer. I told him I was concerned about the states that require an IMG student to do all core clinical rotations green and he made it seem like it wasn't a big deal. He assured me that he has helped numerous students get licensed in several states, including PA, where they scrutinize all of your clinical rotations. He did stress that you should pass your step 1 before you start your rotations to ensure you get a chance to rotate in the "bigger university hospitals". A plus of the program is that you can do all your rotations in one place and rotate continuously.

I read some posts on the St. Matthews forum about GMC and found out that SMU doesn't consider rotations done through GMC as green. So, i'm still confused on the whole issue and would like to know if any other students had some clarification on this?
