I'm a Canadian Landed-immigrant, I'm studying medicine abroad of Canada, In a medical school in Syria. I haven't graduated yet but I'll do this summer.
I want to ask you about my chances to have a general surgery or ophthalmology residency in the States.
I know it's next to impossible to the IMGs to have this residencies in the States, but would my Canadian residency give me any advanced standing to have this kind of residencies (GS and Ophthalmology) in the States ???
What is my advantages in the US since I'm a Canadian Landed-immigrant ??
