Well "decel", as in decelerating, is something that a student does once they're already in the medical program because they can't handle a full courseload for whatever reason. This only lasts for 1 term's-worth of material; if you decel in August then you take the remaining classes from your Aug term in the Spring. So when the rest of your classmates have gone on to the next term, you take the course(s) you didn't during the August term and then join rejoin the full-load students the following term. This is assuming you passed everything, of course.

Also, the AEP program is also a med program so those students are in the medical school; they simply need to take additional tutoring sessions. The MPH and FOM are legit routes into SGU if you make the grade.
