Something technical that needs to be cleared up is this: When students submitted these documents in their application packages, and were allowed to move forward in the matriculation process (essentially gaining some kind of approval of the documents),
1. Was this a real approval?
2. To what level was the approval made (who approved
the documents and what does that mean?

Most Importantly (the bottom line):
3. Who EXACTLY needs to approve the documents in order
for them to be used to obtain the Mexican MD?
(the school officials? the Mexican govt.?)
4. Were each of the students' documents (upon
application/matriculation) approved by this authority?
5. What has been done in the past for the 6 yr. grads....
was their paperwork submitted to the governing
authority at Matriculation, or at Graduation?
6. How is this done for the Latino program?

Background: I know that when myself, as well as others, applied and went through the matriculation process we were told that if the transcript documents weren't exactly what was needed, that we would only be able to utilize the 'Fifth Pathway' route to licensure.

Very important technical question relating to all of this:
What actually happened with the paperwork so far?
When those of us that did submit the documents in order to keep the 6-yr. route open, were the documents actually approved FOR SURE by the proper governing authority? or were they looked over by the student's admission counselor and then just filed away, assuming that they would be checked years later, and if they don't conform at that time, then those particular students would be forced through the fifth pathway?

Why might paperwork not have been checked yet, and what is the biggest concern for the Americans and Canadiens?:
The paperwork might not have been checked and approved, because in Mexico it might not be a big deal for a student to go to their old school or to some authority and obtain this paperwork at a later time (the importance of Junior High documents is much greater in Mexico obviously), due to the demand for these documents.

However, in the U.S., a Junior High transcript is worthless after entrance into High School, and a High School transcript is almost worthless after entrance into the University. So, many of the students can NEVER retrieve a transcript from an education level lower than high school. Personally, I was told from my Junior High School that they only store the records for approximately the previous 5 years before the current date, and that's it. So, upon matriculation, I actually submitted the hard copies of my records that I luckily had at home. (but that's it.....if those get destroyed, forget about it!)

So, we each, as students need a written stamp of approval RIGHT NOW, as our records approval, before we spend another $22,000 in tuition and fees only to find out that the education will be worthless to the UAG and Mexico and our only option WILL be to transfer at some point in time....which is completely dependent on another school to accept the credits.
very good questions man! I know many students in this situation and clarification will be great for those comtemplating 6 years. Good luck
