no. Foundations is an extra semester of premed-style classes that you take before entering the med program. It's sort of an audition for border-line students to prove they can handle things here, and a way for non-traditional students to get used to being in school again.

AED is in addition to the med program, and is more like extra help for those who need it - review sessions and the like. As far as I can tell, they're just like any other review sessions, but more basic and limited to AED students only.
