It seems here that 'sexual intercourse' here is determined by how long it takes the male. (If that's the case, then this is pathetic.) If both partners were taken into consideration, I'm sure the time would be much higher. I'm not sure that most women would stick around in a relationship for 3 minute sex (and not get anything out of it themselves), unless they really didn't like their partners and just wanted to get the sex over with as soon as possible... or unless they were the submissive disempowered type who think is their wifely 'duty' to put out even if they don't get the same satisfaction. My guess is that the 8-13 minute segment may have considered women into the picture, but the 3 min certainly didn't.

It would be interesting if research also considered gays and lesbians... my guess is that it would be like:

M & M--> 1-3 min
F & F--> 8-25 min

Anyways, I wonder why this research was done in the first place. I'm not sure what the extrinsic value of such a study is.
