New puertorrican Medicine School accepting Reválida

There is another alternative to the Fifth pathway problem:

Making a transfer to "San Juan Bautista School of Medicine" after you pass the first part of the Reválida or USMLE. Everyone can take the reválida of Puerto Rico. This School of Medicine have two study programs: one of 4 years and the other of 5 years. You choose the program. They have the accreditation of the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).

They are accepting students with the first part of Reválida or USMLE approved.

“The Admissions Committee will consider applications for admission to third year of applicants who have completed two years of Basic Sciences at a recognized medical school and have passed the first part of the Puerto Rico State Board (reválida) offered by the "Puerto Rico of Medical Examiners Board"; or the first step of the USMLE. The candidates should complete the Application for Admission with the following documents:
1. An official transcript of the medical school where the candidate completed the first two years of Basic Sciences.
2. Certification from the Medical Examiners Board that the candidate passed the first part of the "Puerto Rico State Board" (reválida) or USMLE Step I.
3. Non-refundable Certified check or money order for $75.00.
After evaluating the application, the Admissions Committee will complete the analysis with the following:
1. Two (2) letters of recommendations from previous professors, which must be directly sent to San Juan Bautista School of Medicine.
2. One (1) letter of recommendation from a community leader.
3. A letter of evaluation from the Dean of the school of medicine currently being attended.
4. One (1) letter indicating his/her interest to be considered as a transfer student in our Institution.
5. Negative Certificate of Criminal Record.
6. Original Birth Certificate.
7. Health Certificate.
8. Physician’s Report.
9. Immunization Certificate including (Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Meniningitis, Influenza and Chicken-pox Vaccines or release of responsibility).
10. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification.
11. One 2" x 2" photo, for identification purposes only, once the candidate has been admitted to the School”.
