To give you a better idea: someone @ AUC (a school with a better reputation than St James) scored 250 on step 1 (217 is the avg & 182 is the passing requirement), applied to rads & was very happy to match into a 3rd tier rads program. (BTW, I heard this from someone on the AUC forum so I can't guarantee the accuracy - but it certainly seems believable to me).

USMLE is not the cure-all for going to a carib school. But it does give you a fighting shot @ getting a decent residency.
