From reading this thread I get the impression you haven't spoken with anyone in Admissions from AUA...maybe UHSA? They are one of very few schools which will tell you that class attendance isn't required.

For more info about AUA give us a call: 888-282-8633. And yes our website leaves much to be desired...we're working on it.

Actually, I have been interviewed by a couple of different carib med schools including Windsor and AUA.

I will be the 1st to admit that the interview process was much better with AUA then it was with Windsor. And the new Antigua campus which has yet to be built looks much better than the new Windsor campus. And the Antigua school is affiliated with the Manipal school in India which is also a bonus.

But those are minor things when looking at the bigger picture. You could be studying out of a shack and still have a better curriculum then other schools. However, when I asked the interviewer at Antigua about the USMLE classes and if they have any after-school programs to help students prepare for the USMLE they said they did not. I also asked the interviewer if they have any additional programs that students can get involved in (for example Project 2400 at Windsor) they said they did not.

Also, in Windsor they provide students with books, housing, and food (breakfast only....but hey, its better than the other schools like Ross that don't provide anything) Antigua doesn't.

I have found all these things out because I have been doing extensive research on a lot of med schools including windsor and antigua. Anybody can find out this information because its available on the websites. Im not some secret person with all this information trying to promote one particular school. This information is available to EVERYBODY. I did a lot of research on Windsor also because I had an online interview with them and wanted to be prepared if they asked me any questions about their website or their existing program(s).

Also, I read everywhere that if you don't get into the top tier schools (Ross, Saba, SGU, AUC etc. etc.) then you are pretty much out of luck and have no hope in hell becoming a doctor (its is not said exactly in these words, but people hint it). I want to find out if you cannot get into the top tier schools what is the next best option. I heard the name Antigua being thrown around so I did some research and at the same time stumbled upon Windsor school and did some investigation on that school and want to make a decision b4 its too late.
