No, I didn't have any ortho connections. Sometimes I wish I did so that I didn't have to constantly worry! I just made sure I rotated with the right people: the program director and the chairman, and the rest all fell into place. Along the way I met other attendings who ended up being on the admissions committee! It was a good feeling to walk into the interview knowing 5 of 6 interviewers in the room. It made for a very relaxing experience.
