I would put out 3-6 months to study for Step 1 and Step II, and ECFMG certified, with your credential, there is no way that you can't even get a family practice residency in the U.S. .. once you're done you can walk back to Halifax to practice.

THIS IS THE BEST WAY IN MY OPINION, AND I THINK THE CANADIAN WAY IS SIMPLY A WASTE OF TIME.
