Where UMHS beats SGU:
1) Class sizes are much smaller
2) Much cheaper = less financial risk if you flunk out
Where SGU beats UMHS:
1) US clinicals
2) Grads can get licensed in all 50 states (including CA)
3) SGU has a reputation in the US, where UMHS will have to earn a reputation
Risk of Attending UMHS
1) New School => no rep. in US
2) No US Clinicals yet
3) Not approved by any state licensing board

5) Financial Aid options limited to a few lenders
There is always a risk with going to the Caribbean to medical school. Just because your daughter got accepted somewhere does not guarantee that she will pass her courses and get the necessary scores to land a decent residency.
I also agree with the previous poster that your daughter should be on here with you researching this information.
**EDIT** UMHS' sister campus, IUON, has both an associates and bachelors program in nursing. I had originally put that being on the same campus as an associates degree nursing program was a risk, I now retract that statement.
