Actually more student do the 6 years route than you think. Where do you think all the students go if they don't pass step 1 before going to 5th Pathway. I will get some detail and post it later. The 5th and 6th year combined cost much less than 5th Pathway. The major loss is the 1 year loss of potential income and the extra year of capitalized interest in your loan.
