I recommend bringing your basic things like sheets, towels, and any cooking spices that you are use to. Nothing is guaranteed to be down here that you may be use to having. For example, I am use to having certain cooking supplies from Louisiana, but they are not found down here. Things like that are what you either need to bring with you or have someone send to you. Oh, by the way, be sure you get a rental car to get you around the island for the first few days that you will be down here. I didn't and it completely sucked.
