I also did Peds "at Dekalb Medical Center". It was originally done acutally IN AMC before my rotation, but was really only an ER rotation. Students were in the ER and saw half regular adult patients and few pediatric patients. They learned ER stuff, not Peds. So we had them switch it. Now Peds is thru private doctors AFFILIATED with either AMC or Dekalb.
But again... MOST atlanta rotations are not hospital-based rotations. They are based out of clinic or private offices. I found them very good none-the-less. Less stress, fewer calls, and more one-on-one with the doctor instead of doing scut-work for a resident!
