important question for you... have you taken and passed step 1? if so, they should not require you to do ANY basic sciences, it might even be illegal for them to require that, if i understand the law correctly.
and getting back to your earlier questions, you can definately get burned if a school closes down at any of these points. for example, say you graduate, you have your diploma in your hands, it doesn't mean a hill of beans if the residency program you match at requires your school to verify important info (i.e., transcripts, clerkships, etc). you cannot verify this info, the school must do it.
then you must verify all your info with FCVS (federal credentials verification service, you can google it), and that is a US office that will hold all foreign documents, so that if your school closes down while you are in residency, you can still get a permanent license. 48/50 states accept it, and many now require this service.
better to go to a school where you don't have to worry about this
