Hey guys, I spoke with my counselor both yesterday and today and she advised me to retake the MCAT before applying again b/c my 1st MCAT score was 18M. My commulative gpa is 3.21 and my science is 3.12 per Amcas yet my advisor or counselor told me that they calculated it to be 2.89 for my science because I had an F in general biology (given to me for not taking an incomplete when I had a family issue and it was past withdrawal date). How can they get a different science gpa than what Amcas had? Does amcas usually add failed grades or what's the deal? She told me my stats were low and I reminded her that the posted stats on AUC website was 3.1 gpa and 21 MCAT score but she keep repeating the fact that other people had 25 or 27 for their mcat. I was kind of getting frustrated with her and told her to just send it in and see what the AdCom says about. I told her that if they deny me, it'll not be the end of the world anyway... so just send it in and lets see. Somehow there was May 2008 on my application when I applied for August 2008 and she told me that the August admission is very competitive and that's why I'm applying earlier. What shd I do?.
