For the programs where you're in the military while you're in med school, you definitely have to be at an LCME med school. You are commissioned as an O-1 prior to beginning med school and are then bumped to an O-3 upon graduation. In this scenario, they cover your tuition.
You can also join the military after med school and receive the a commission based on your experience (O-3 if you're new, but I've seen experienced doctors come in as O-6). I do not think they'll pay you back if you do it this way, but I'm not sure.
