For biochemistry, Lippincott's Biochem 3rd ed is good but you can also use the following books as references/supplementary materials:

1. Kaplan's Review in Biochem and Genetics
2. Mark's Basic Medical Biochemistry, 2nd ed
3. Biochemistry with Clinical Correlations by Devlin, 5th ed
4. Biochemistry by Lehninger

The IAU library has a good collection of biochem books (though in limited copies). There is also an IAU biochem website (WHICH NEEDS TO BE UPDATED) where you can access biochem materials (lectures, videos, internet resources, guide questions for each chapter in Lippincott).

I heard that the present IAU Biochem prof is quite excellent, far better than the previous Biochem prof who is the alter ego of Jacky Chan!
