Some schools have pre medical commitees which write composite letters, some don't. As almost every US medical school now requires a composite letter, most colleges have them. It makes things much easier on the people writing the letters of recommendation, the prospective student, and the medical schools.

Your best bet though if you don't have one at your school is just to call MEAS and talk to an advisor. There's always a bunch of them there during regular business hours. I think AUC wanted 3 letters when I applied, but I'm not positive.
