I Want to try for pgy2 position. please can somebody help me when to reveal to PD about my trial for pgy2.
If we reveal to PD about transfer and we don't get the position outside, what happens to position at the current program?? My question is do our position at current program becomes insecured?

somebody who has gone through same situation, please let me know about dealing with current program.

I am trying for transfer because I have little kid.

I am looking for pgy1 to pgy2 transfer in Internal medicine. when i called couple of programs, the programs are asking me to send the documents which should include letter from PD of current program and also an UPDATED CV.

Some people advised me not to reveal the current program, that you are trying for transfer, until I secure a position or getting positive respnse from other programs. Even for the application they are asking for PD letter. How can I secure position first, before revealing to PD?
