I'm curious as to how you failed a rotation. Did you mean to say you failed the shelf exam at the end of the rotation? And was the rotation surgery or ob/gyn by any chance? because those 2 are harrrrrrrrd.

I'm a med school flunkie myself so I'm not bashing you. I didn't apply for advanced standing though cuz I have truly forgotten everything I learned M1 year. I was only an M1 though and I had already decelled. Ross will probably take you as long as you are sincere and legit and your application essay is flawless. Just be honest like I was and you'll be fine. You will prolly have to repeat 5th sem/clinicals though. Dunno about SGU?? they are harder to get in, but you can call them and ask, it doesn't hurt to apply and drop a couple $75 for an application when you are a $quarter million in debt from 4 years of a us med school anyway. The worst they can say is no, right? Give it a try. Don't walk away now when you're only a few weeks away from your MD.
