St. Vincent's CT
the hospital has wireless internet connections all over. there is a library with computers so u can check your e-mail or do research during your breaks. the library is open from 8-5.
the hours are usuall as u would expect in any surgery rotation, u start around 6, do quick rounds for like 30 minutes and than do sign outs and than go to your daily scheduled procedures. u can sign up for one procedure if u like or 4. there are about 25-30 procedures daily so you can pick as many as u want. we usually did evening sign outs around 5.30 or 6 so you are pretty much there for full 12 hours a day. no weekend unless you are on-call.
the hospital provides meal tickets for NY medical college students for free and also housing is free for them too since their school pay the hospital for that. for ROSS, dont' expect too much, its good enough that ROSS students will be doing a surgery rotation at a good hospital where they actually do learn something and get to see all the procedures they want. however, hospital provides u with meals on the day you are on call.
parking is about 1.25 $ day in hospital garage across the street or you can always park on the street if you get there early and parking around hospital is fairly safe.
housing again is different issue, if u go through hospital's housing list than u can sign for short term lease, the period of time u stay while u are doing your rotations there. there are some nice towns around bridgeport like, trumbell, fairfield, stratford, shelton. these towns are little expensive but better than bridgeport.
