i did my surgery rotation in St. V earlier this year and it was awesome. the area is much better than most of the rotations set up in NY areas.
i was surprised that i was the only ROSS student and rest of them were from NY medical college. but overall i would highly recommend this rotation to anyone who wants to get into surgery, the residents are nice and very supportive. the staff is just awesome. about the housing issue, the hospital provides you the housing, i paid 550$ and i was renting a room in a house not even a minute away from the hospital. parking is not a issue either and its quite safe as long as you are around the hospital area.
overall, i would highly recommend this rotation to anybody and i never had any trouble while i was there doing my surgery rotation.
