Can a consultant or registrar in Australia work in the United States without having to repeat his residency in Internal Med? I am planning to take my USMLEs but would rather not if I will end up having to repeat my residency. I am engaged to my girlfriend in the States, also a doctor, but we're not sure where things would be easier. Any input will be appreciated.
