I had applied for my loan with four different co-signers and finally one of them got accepted and I believe that his score was close to or over 800. They do look at your credit as well but heavily rely on co-signers credit. If you have an excellent credit and the co-signer has a fair to good credit it is difficult to get approved. What I found out is that you need a very strong co-signer regardless of your credit histroy because it is a foreign school and they want to have someone to go after in case of a default. I have used the same co-signers for US schools and have been approved but got rejected for St. James. So, try anyone and everyone who is willing to help you and hopefully someone will get accepted.
