That is true of you obtained your degree via quickie diploma mill....
If you attend a reputable university, that would issue you equivalancy exams based on course taken previously, you can skip the first year and attend 3 years of medical school......
Best place to check is the AAMC Website, or contact the AAMC.......I know several schools in the US that would issue transfer credits of up to 2 years if you are a DDS, and OMS.....trained in the US.....Not sure about DPMs or other professions......I will have to check on that.......
