In response to quite of few people who have been inquiring about housing in Aruba, I have found rent to be comparable to rent in the US. The other thing you should know is that quality is not as good but is functional. Most consider it part of the sacrifice in obtaining a medical degree. Average prices for apartments are as followed:

studio: $400-500/month excluding utilities
1 bdrm: $570-600/month excluding utilities
2 bdrm: $570-700/month maybe more depending on area (excl. utilities)
3 bdrm house: $1300-1600/month excl utilities
