my two cents
As another recent transfer student to Drexel from Ross I just wanted to add a few comments.
1.Zedpol is exactly dead on with his advice - be prepared for lots of paperwork.
2.I would consider transferring even if you do not want a "competitive" residency - the best residency spots are always competitive and transferring will allow you to have more opportunities to have access to these spots (ie - doing away rotations at hospitals that only accept LCME accredited schools). You will also have a greater opportunity to explore fields that you may be interested in.
3. The other benefit is having a school with offices (and people in them to answer your questions!) - mainly more ORGANIZATION and GUIDANCE.
Final words....you'll never know if you don't try!
