It by no means means you won't succeed, a lot have, but it makes the road more difficult in terms of residency placements and other headaches. Plus, the level of excellence and reliability in Caribbean medical school varies GREATLY depending on which school you choose.
Spelling Caribbean? lay off folks. That's just sniping and devalues the other good things you have to say. Bottom line, go to the US if you can. If you can't then try a decent off shore school, a decent DO school or a decent Irish or Aussie school.
