I am going to tell you what I tell all newbies...get books YOU feel will help not the ones that somone else tells you to get. You will end up purchasing books because the person next to you has the book and you feel if you dont have it then you will not pass. Make sure you flip through all the books people suggest and see which ones will help you get through the course. Most books have the same content presented in different ways.

With all that said the Color atlas of Anatomy has really good picures to help you with dissections.
